Egelston Township does not accept credit or debit cards

Methods of Payment
  • Mail: A Personal Check, Money Order, or Cashiers Check to 5428 E. Apple Ave., Muskegon, MI 49442. Make payable to Egelston Township. NSF (non-sufficient funds) checks will result in the reversal of original payment until a cash payment can be made, also a NSF charge will be collected at that time. If you request a receipt for payment, a stamped self-addressed envelope must accompany payment.
  • Bank: Choice One Bank will accept your tax bill payments on or before September 14th for the summer and on or before February 14th for winter tax seasons.
  • Drop Box: Located at the front door of the Township Hall. Place your check and bottom portion of the tax bill in an envelope, NO CASH PLEASE! If you request a receipt for payment, a stamped self-addressed envelope must accompany payment.
  • In Person: Egelston Township Hall open daily Monday thru Friday from 8:00 a.m. to Noon and 1:00pm to 5:00 p.m. Closed Holidays.

Investment Policy Objectives

Funds of Egelston Township will be invested in accordance with the following objectives in order of priority.

1. Safety - Safety of principal is the foremost objective of the investment program. Investments shall be undertaken in a manner that seeks to insure the preservation of capital in the overall portfolio.

2. Diversification - The investments shall be diversified by specific maturity dates, individual financial institution (s) of a specific class of securities in order that potential losses on individual securities do not exceed the income generated from the remainder of the portfolio.

3. Liquidity - The investment portfolio will remain sufficiently liquid to meet all operating requirements which might be reasonably anticipated.

4. Return on Investment - The investment portfolio shall be designed with the objective of obtaining a rate of return throughout budgeting and economic cycles, taking into account the investment risk constraints and cash flow characteristics of the portfolio.

Dog Licenses
Dog Licenses are available at the Township office. Please bring in your county renewal form, proof of spayed/neutered and proof of rabies vaccination, this is required.
